John Mahoney Biography, Age, Height, Wife, Wiki, Family, Net Worth. Tony Mahoney, Tony Award winner, is best known to television audiences for his role as Martin Crane in Frasier.

Mahoney was born in Manchester, England and began playing with several theater groups as a child. After moving to Chicago, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Quincy College and a master’s degree from Western Illinois State and worked as a publisher of business publications. When Frasier ended his long career on television, Mahoney declined the offers of several other television shows because he wanted to focus on the theater. Since then, he has never played in I Sang for my dad and The Dresser Steppenwolf Theater Company, as well as Stern at the Roundabout Theater Company’s production of Magical Times at the American Airlines Theater in New York. He also has time to see films like Dan in Real Life (2007) and Rob Reiner’s Flipped (2010).
